Simangaliso Thango

Tenor Vocalist

Simangaliso was born and bred in a small town called Kwa-Nongoma and later moved to Richards Bay where he formally began his musical journey in a school choir as a tenor. Simangaliso further went on studying music at the Tshwane University of Technology where he graduated Cum Laude for his Bachelor of Music. He also holds an Honours Degree in Arts, Culture & Heritage Management from Witwatersrand University. Simangaliso is currently reading for his MA (Master of Arts) degree in Cultural Policy under the supervision of Ms Avril Joffe. Thango, as many would address him is now a fabulous crossover tenor that serenades a variety of music from pop, African pop, rhythm and blues, jazz and opera. He has worked as a freelance artist with Elegant entertainment since 2003. He has been seen in galas and concerts all over South Africa before joining the South African Tenors.

Luvuyo Situmane

Tenor Vocalist

Luvuyo Situmane is a highly accomplished South African tenor with a proven track record of excellence in the field of classical music. Hailing from Komga, Eastern Cape, Situmane honed his musical talents under the guidance of esteemed mentors Akhona Witbooi, the late Gugulethu Notsolo, and Mandlenkosi Gayoyo. He underwent rigorous training in vocal techniques and classical music at the University of Forthare, working closely with renowned professors Gwyneth Loyd and Mkhululi Milisi, which eventually led to his inclusion in the prestigious East Cape Opera Company. Situmane's musical journey began with active participation in choral eisteddfods and reached new heights when he showcased his talent with the Cape Town Opera in a performance of Bongani Ndodana's Credo at the Artscape Theatre in 2014. He further solidified his reputation as a standout tenor by joining the University of Stuttgart Orchestra as a guest soloist, delivering a captivating portrayal of Alfred in Johann Strauss's Die Fledermaus. Notable accolades in Situmane's career include winning first place in the Tenor section of the South African Tertiary Institutions Choral Association and delivering powerful performances in iconic opera roles such as Cosi fan tutte, La Clemenza di Tito, La Traviata, and Handel's Messiah. Situmane achieved international acclaim with his group, The South African Tenors, by advancing to the semifinals of Greece's Got Talent in 2018 with a stunning rendition of Nessun Dorma from Puccini's Turandot. Currently based in Greece, Situmane continues to showcase his exceptional vocal abilities as a key member of REMARC SHOWS and SUNSEA FUN Entertainment. His unwavering dedication and extraordinary talent consistently captivate audiences worldwide.

Sandile Sikhosana

Tenor Vocalist

Sandile Sikhosana was born in Ladysmith, Kwazulu Natal and started singing at the age of ten. He went to study performers’ diploma in opera at the University of Cape Town under Professor Kamal Khan and Mr Patrick Tikolo. He has been involved in several productions at UCT Opera School and Cape Town opera from 2009-2015. Sandile has been touring all over Europe with the Cape Town Opera’s ‘African Angels’. In 2016 Sandile made his international debut as a tenor at the Dubai Opera House and Hong Kong cultural centre performing the role of Makhanda in an opera called Mandela trilogy. He is currently freelancing with an entertainment company based in Athens, Greece called Remarc International.
